Positive body, mind and spirit was developed and designed because there was a need for a combination of emotional and physical elements into the one workshop. Having Relaxation, Energy Body Balancing and Deep Relaxation into the one session can give such positive attributes and awareness that it will enhance the body and mind for a better well-being.
When you undertake a positive body, mind and spirit workshop you should leave the sessions feeling relaxed and positive but at the same time as if you have achieved total balancing.
Positive Body Mind and Spirit
Your workshop will begin with a thought or affirmation (mantra) this is used to give you a positive thought for the day, it will also give you something to think about without your mind wandering too much, if you are not used to relaxation or meditation techniques.
We will learn about ambience and how to choose the right place to practice your relaxation techniques. You will be guided through different breathing techniques and then be taken on a journey of relaxation and positive surroundings in Guided Imagery Meditation. This will then lead into ‘passive body’ going through all the major body parts for further relaxation.
Positive and relaxed input is focused – confidence, self esteem, motivation, being important and believing in yourself and your abilities.
We will work with energy and learn the skill of energy body balancing, this is beneficial for the body and mind, and can be used to reduce pain, anxiety and numerous ailments. Energy body balancing will help you to become calm and stress free.
The last section of the class will be followed with a Deep Relaxation session (similar to the beginning of this class) and then continue into deep relaxation. The deep relaxation session will help you to use the sub-conscious mind. The sub-conscious mind is more powerful than the conscious mind we can train it to be more positive and relaxed, and the more repetitious it is the more it will be enforced, the more it will believe. With this section of the class you would achieve more benefit if you were to continue using some form of similar program on completion of this workshop. How you could achieve this is by using relaxation cd’s or going to some form of relaxation or meditation group.
This workshop can be structured for 2 hours or 4 hours depending on the duration of what you would like to achieve. On completion you should be feeling relaxed, positive, and motivated and your body should feel like it has had a great workout while relaxing at the same time. Try to notice the difference in your posture before and after the sessions. Are you standing taller and straighter after completing this workshop?
To further achieve these skills try to concentrate when you are sitting, standing or walking to hold a 30% contraction, in your core (naval area), over time you will automatically do it. Your posture will improve, your back and abdominals will become stronger and therefore less medical ailments will appear.
