Remedial Treatments are to help improve any problems associated with muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints and even disc alignments. Generally these treatments are for more specific reasons relating to areas where there is pain and or discomfort. Remedial treatments are located at the ‘Karma Waters Deck’ at Havannah or in Port Vila. Mobile service can be arranged.
SPORTS INJURIES
A combination of soft and deep tissue techniques including; mobilization and isolation specific to a related injury. May include exercise prescription. This treatment is designed to help anyone who has a specific injury.
REMEDIAL THERAPY
A combination of soft and deep tissue techniques including; mobilization, light manipulation and isolation techniques specific to a problem related area. May include exercise prescription. This treatment is used for any condition that may be causing pain or restricting full range of motion to an area, including hip realignment and sciatica.
DEEP CERVICAL (Neck Trauma)
This treatment is specific to neck related ailments including soft and deep tissue, light manipulation, mobilization and some remedial massage to shoulders and upper back. May include myofascial release and exercise prescription. This treatment may help to improve injuries including whiplash, migraines, stress and tension, limited range of movement, frozen shoulder, nerve and disc dysfunction.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
A soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. This therapy aims to relax contracted muscles by working over the fascia of the muscles, it will help to improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles.
CRANIAL SACRAL BALANCING
There are 3 components to cranial sacral treatments.
1/ Cranial-sacral therapy is a form of body work or alternative therapy focused primarily on the concept of “primary respiration” and regulating the flow of cerebrospinal fluid using therapeutic touch to manipulate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. There is a link between the head and the sacrum as the spinal fluid flows between. The fluid has a pulsing action which occasionally gets blocked leaving the fluid with an uneven action. This uneven action can lead to many ailments of the body, leaving you feeling unwell or generally not quite right. The light head, face and sacral holds can help to alleviate this blockage and maintain an even flow. This treatment can be useful for head and face injury, body balancing, chronic fatigue and may assist problems with the central nervous system, immune, and endocrine systems, hormone imbalance and many other ailments.
2/ Face and inter oral (firm holds and pressure) to help towards ailments including sinusitis and sinus related issues, nasal blocking issues, jaw realignment, TMJ issues and ear related including tinnitus.
3/ Neck Trauma (as above in ‘Deep Cervical’ section).
